CROSSING OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE

Dra. Eva Fajardo

Deuteronomy 8:10 TPT

10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.

MARK 4:35-41 TPT

35 That same day, after it grew dark, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, the disciples got into the boat in which Jesus was already sitting, and they took him with them. Other boats sailed with them.

37 Suddenly, as they were crossing the lake, a ferocious storm arose, with violent winds and waves that were crashing into the boat until it was nearly swamped. 38 But Jesus was calmly sleeping in the stern, resting on a cushion.

39 So they shook him awake, saying, “Teacher, don’t you even care that we are all about to die!” Fully awake, he rebuked the storm and shouted to the sea, “Hush! Be still!” All at once the wind stopped howling and the water became perfectly calm.

40 Then he turned to his disciples and said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Haven’t you learned to trust yet?” 41 But they were overwhelmed with fear and awe and said to one another, “Who is this man who has such authority that even the wind and waves obey him?”

CROSSING OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE

1. GOING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE WAS GOD’S COMMAND.

2. IT WAS A TRANSITION FROM A PLACE OF POWER TO A HIGHER DIMENSION OF ENCOUNTER WITH HIM.

3. TRANSITING TO A HIGHER PLACE OF AUTHORITY AND REVELATION OF HIS GREATER POWER.

4. GOING TO A PLACE OF FULL TRUST AND FAITH IN HIM.

5. A PLACE OF TOTALLY NEW KIND OF THINKING AND VALUE SYSTEM NEEDED TO FACE THE NEW CHALLENGES IN NOT SO COMFORTABLE PRESENT AND FUTURE.

6. ASSURANCE THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

“GOD CANNOT POUR NEW THINGS TO A LEAKING VESSEL.”

“WHAT CAUSED THE LEAK?”

HEBREWS 12:1-2 TPT

1 As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into.

Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.

2 We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection.

His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!

“WHAT CAUSED THE LEAK?”

1. GET RID OF THE ARROW TIP.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6 TPT

Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life.

2. WORRY & UNCERTAINTY

ROMANS 12:2 TPT

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.

This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

3. IMITATING THE  IDEALS & CULTURE AROUND YOU.

4. INDEPENDENT (ORPHAN) SPIRIT

HEBREWS 13:17 TPT

Obey your spiritual leaders and recognize their authority, for they keep watch over your soul without resting since they will have to give an account to God for their work. So it will benefit you when you make their work a pleasure and not a heavy burden.

PHILIPPIANS 4:12-13 TPT

12-13 I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger.

And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.
