PROPHETIC SIGHT for the KINGDOM AGE (IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD)
There Are Questions We Need To Answer First:
What is the Kingdom of God?
What does it have to do with you and with me as a believer?
What does it have to do with my needs, my calling, and my purpose?
How can one move in power in the Kingdom of God?
When we say Kingdom of God, it is the Greek word “basileia” which means the “Government of God”, it also means the rule and reign of Christ; it is the foundation of Gods power, it is where His power is manifested. Everything and everywhere the King rules is called dominion or territory – it is the place where the King has influence and where His will is being done.
When Jesus was to end His Abba Father prayer, He said…“For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever and ever, Amen!
These are the three elements of Heaven:
1st KINGDOM which is the Government of heaven.
2nd POWER is the Ability of that Kingdom.
3rd GLORY which is the Atmosphere of the Kingdom.
When we say “Your Kingdom come”, we are asking that His Government, His Influence, His Rule, His Power and His Glory to fall into our territory – our lives, our families, our church, our cities, our nation.
When we say “Your will be done”, we are asking that God would affect His Government in these territories through His Power.
The Question we ask is; “who will implement the rule of His Kingdom?
Who will effect the will of His Government in these territories?”
Eh di IKAW!
Acts 1:3
After His suffering, He showed Himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the Kingdom of God.
Jesus spoke more about The Kingdom Of God, than He spoke about the Church – His last teachings to His disciples before He went back to heaven was about His Kingdom. Jesus only spoke about the church twice, first was when He would build it, and second was when there were quarrellings going on.
Matt 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church,
Matt 18:17
And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
The plan of God is to build His Kingdom through the Church – to establish His Government everywhere through you and through me. If we don’t have a Kingdom mentality, we can never be used by God in these last days because we are in a poverty, sickness, lack, get rich, and quarreling mentality! Sad to say, this is the condition of many churches today.
We have come to a period in history when everything is being speeded up by God, but many are unable to catch up with what God is doing today.
Why is it hard for many to be where God is today?
It is because many have an earthly mindset instead of having a heavenly mindset!
James 4:4
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Col 3:2
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Many children of God have fallen into this trap – friendship with the world. This does not mean that we hate God, but our minds are not fixed on Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our faith.
What we need is to have purity in the way we think and the way we view the things of this world. Everyday, the world would give you an opportunity to become friendly with its ruler. To be friendly with the world will block the Holy Spirit from working through us.
The enemy will give you an opportunity to be off focused from the purposes of God for you – so you would commit sin.
Luke 9:23
Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
We should ask the Lord to cleanse our mind and our imaginations everyday – our eyes, ears, hearts – these are gates and we need to keep these gates clean, due diligence is needed.
If our body has five senses, so do our spirits; if our body senses can smell rotten fish, so can our spiritual senses; we can smell rotten spirits. We must also be able to smell the Presence of God, and feel the Holy Spirit.
This is part of the gift of discerning of spirits. But the problem is, many Christians have very sensitive senses for their flesh and for their emotions, but are totally ignorant and calloused with their senses in the Spirit; we must wake them up.
2 Chron 29:3-4
In the first month of the first year of his reign (Hezekiah), he opened the doors of the temple of the Lord and repaired them4 He brought in the priests and the Levites, assembled them in the square on the east side, and said…
2 Chron 29:5
“Listen to me, Levites! Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your fathers. Remove all defilement from the sanctuary.
We are the House of the Lord, we are the Priests of God assigned to keep this house clean, we must not neglect the Holy Place of the Lord. When we speak of the Holy place in our lives, we are speaking about our souls – the mind, the emotions, and the will – these we must keep clean before the Lord, daily.
Jer 4:3-4
This is what the Lord says to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem: “Break up your unplowed ground and do not sow among thorns.
Jer 4:4
Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, circumcise your hearts, you men of Judah and people of Jerusalem, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done — burn with no one to quench it.
But many have allowed their spirits to become weak, because they have allowed their souls to be filled with the filth of the world. Often, we only feed ourselves with milk, though we need solid food, we stick to what we had in the past, that’s why many remain weak.
1 Cor 3:1-3
Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly — mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.
1 Cor 3:1-3
3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?
The church in Corinth is a church that moves in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but they are just babies; having the gifts is not indicative of maturity. To become mature in our spirits, we need to purify it daily, and feed it with the right stuff – Word and worship.
But we can’t always be reading the Bible and worshiping, especially when you are working. Some think that when they listen to Christian music, they are worshiping – that is not always true. But there is something we can all do, almost every time: SPEAK IN TONGUES or PRAY IN THE SPIRIT!
1 Cor 14:2
For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.
1 Cor 14:4 and 18
4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
Speaking in tongues edifies you!
Edify is like building a strong structure, a strong building [edifice] that can stand the harshest conditions. Speaking in tongues is not an option or extra, it is vital in this time for your strength and growth – it is the initial manifestation of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Jude 20
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit…
Praying in the Spirit is vital to make us strong, so we can fulfill our assignment, our purpose, our destiny, through faith.
Eph 1:13-14
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
Eph 1:13-14
14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession — to the praise of his glory.
After we have received Jesus in our lives, the Holy Spirit was placed upon us as a mark, as a deposit of our future inheritance, He is the guarantee of the greater things to come. But when you were baptized in Him, He manifests by the gift of speaking in tongues, He is the weapon in your mouth in order for you to walk in His power to overcome the wiles of the devil.
Gal 3:13-14
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
Gal 3:13-14
14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
What were the blessings of Abraham that God wants to give to us also?
Financial blessings (very wealthy), total victory over his enemies.
A very profound relationship with God (he was called ‘friend of God’), fruitful, was able to claim his promised land. God gave him a token, a sign that all His promises will come to pass – circumcision.
Phil 3:3
For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh…
That’s speaking in tongues!
Rom 8:26-27
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
Rom 8:26-27
27 And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
God is praying for us to make sure His purposes will come to pass – and as the Spirit flows, He enlarges our faith, purifies our minds, and sanctifies our souls.
Rom 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love God, who have been called according to His purpose.
Many say “all things will work together for my good”, nope, that’s not what it said. The verse said “that in all things God works for the good of those who love God,” We can claim this verse when we pray in the Spirit, because the Spirit strengthens us to walk and live the purposes of God.
Only then will all things work together for your good because it is not you praying, but it is God interceding for you. Many today are asking these questions:
Why did God invent prayer?
We know He is in control of our lives, of our world, and He can do whatever He wants – so why pray?
If all that is written in the Bible is going to happen anyway, what is the point in praying?
People are asking these questions because they have a wrong concept of prayer, they missed its purpose. People see prayer as something that is all about us – what we want, what we desire, what we have planned. This is part of prayer, but it’s the least of it all – many would even call these as selfish prayers!
But prayer is really not about us and what we want; It is all about God and what He wants. Praying is knowing how to rule with the King, seeking what He wants, asking what is His will, so it will be done.
Matt 6:9-10
9 In this manner therefore pray:
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Matt 6:9-10
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven. NKJV
John 15:7-8
7 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
John 15:7-8
8 This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.
We can only abide if we are strong in our spirits; We can only become strong and edified when we pray in the spirit or speak in tongues. Only prayers that are in accordance to the will of God will be answered today; no more permissive will.
You need to know His Word so you would pray only according to His will. If we know what God wants and we pray for it, it shall happen, no matter what it is – praying in the Spirit is praying in the will of God.
What is the will of God? Salvation of souls, healing of sick bodies, peace of Jerusalem, prosperity for the nation…
Selfish prayers send to heaven a bad smell!
All things will work together for our good, because we are praying for the will of God. If you don’t know what to pray for; let God pray for you, pray in the Spirit…
Eph 6:18
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
