Report on the KT4C W.O.W. Camp Phop Phra
A KT4C W.O.W. Camp was held last April 19-23, 2021. It was in Ban Pror Chang
Conserve Karen’s Elephants Farm, Phop Phra, 72 km. from Maesot.
W.O.W. camp focuses on “W”-ho Am I (Identity), “O”- [Circle] of Prayer & Worship (Community), and “W”-orker of God (Ministry). It aims to REACH and DISCIPLE the Karen teens to prepare them for works of SERVICE, which are the KT4C Vision
Goals.
Fifty (50) young people from Thoo Mweh Khee Learning Center and Bethel Karen Baptist Church attended the 5-day camp. They all participated in activities such as listening to teachings, bilingual worship (English & Karen), prayer night, mini-worship concert (campers), small group sharing, games/ice breakers, barbecue night, and fellowship (including the time with the elephants).
Some of them before coming expected that they would meet youths from other places and have lots of activities like competition and games. But what they got was a balanced program that prioritizes the teaching of the Word. They said that they learned a lot and are hoping to have camps like this again in the near future.

Some of the things they learned according to them are “The Gifts of the Spirit” and “The Fruit of the Spirit” which prepare them to serve God when they go home. They also studied more about prayer and worship. They said the songs they sang were deep and powerful. The culture of honor, gratitude, love, forgiveness, and humility, and obedience in discipleship were also taught to them — the keys to developing their gifts and character as they continue their walk to Christlikeness.

Impartation of Anointing

A lot of them experienced manifestations of the Holy Spirit during the sessions about “Holy Spirit-Our Helper” and “Engaged in Prayer”.
Manifestations such as experiencing heat on their bodies, coolness like wind, bodies shaking, sudden feelings of weakness when prayed over, and feelings of stirring up in the bellies, among others.

God demonstrated the power of prophecy when the speaker had a word of knowledge to lead the teens to prophesy against the rain. There were loud sounds of thunder and it would be a concern if it rained because some campers slept in tents and the session hall’s (hut) roof has holes that could cause the equipment to be wet. Everyone prophetically declared that it wouldn’t rain during the camp and it did not. One late afternoon there were some drizzles for about three minutes but it did not affect anyone at all except for the cooling down of the night, as it was hot. Everyone slept well. Later on, we heard from two different sources outside the camp that they were worried about us because it was really raining so hard just around 15 minutes away from the campsite. Thank God that even the wind and the rain obey
Him. And He uses even the teens to pray for these miracles. Amen!
During the prayer night, students were led to pray for their enemies. They also followed a list that included Myanmar, Karen IDPs, minority ethnic groups, refugee camps, Thailand, the pandemic, their schools and seminaries, communities/villages, churches, leaders, families, and their spiritual lives. They struggled in prayer as this was their first to pray that long, but they were able to persevere.
During the culmination of the program, they asked to learn more about prayer, how not to fall asleep, and how to persist and be victorious in their prayer life.

Group Sharing Coming from the camp, they plan to be united in doing works of ministry when they go back to the church. They want to share what they have learned to their families. Some even said that if given a chance, they will preach in the church. They are committing themselves to more worship, prayer, and Bible study to grow in what God started in them from this camp. One even asked for prayer because he wants to start a gathering, like a camp or Bible study in his village when he goes home.
As they hope to have more gatherings like this, they want to learn more about prayer, worship, Bible interpretation, the life of Bible characters, the end times, and how to avoid hurting the Holy Spirit and their spiritual parents or mentors/leaders.

They truly appreciated the venue because of its quietness (no distractions) and it was very conducive to meet with God. They are looking forward to what God has prepared for the next.
Thank you so much EAM for the prayers and support for KT4C. To God be the glory.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.
…Devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching, and to teaching.
Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.” 1 Timothy 4:12-15 NIVUK
