TO TRANSFORM OR TO CONFORM

BURNING BUSH EXPERIENCE

Experience: is used to refer to the past events, knowledge, and feelings that make up someone’s life or character.

An experience is something that you do or that has happened to you; it is something important that leaves a lasting effect on you.

If you experience a feeling, you feel it or are affected by it.

Q? Are you depressed?

Q? Are you lonely?

Q? Do you feel so worthless?

Q? Does it feel like the world is so unfair to you?

Q? Are you tired of having the same problems and struggles again and again?

To be CONFORMED or to be TRANSFORMED

2 Cor 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. NKJV

The bible is quite clear that when the eyes of our spirit are open (unveiled), we shall behold His glory; we shall have an encounter with God that would transform our lives. But sadly, many have stagnated and have chosen to be conformed to their present situation today.

Whenever a person conforms, it is because he has stopped being transformed. It’s when nothing good is happening in your life and you have stopped expecting for something good to happen.

The steadfast love of the Lᴏʀᴅ never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22–23) God’s enduring love and constant mercies are not only new every morning, but new every moment.

Every moment God makes, He decides to be utterly faithful to His character and His purposes. Every new moment, God commits to fulfill what He says He will do.

When it comes to experiencing things as new or old, I think we tend to interpret our God experiences backwards, why so?

The real illusion is not that old things appear new to us – like God’s mercies or a sunrise…

but the real illusion happens when we see that the new things will always appear old. This is because we think of things as new or old mainly based on our own mortality…

We know we will all die one day…

So we observe creation as it changes and life as it progresses towards death – and we call it aging.

That’s how it appears for most of us, but in reality, everything is new every moment.

God is not old. God is, He is ever present, and He never changes!

He calls himself the Ancient of Days just to help us time-bound creation grasp something of the vastness of his eternal nature. God created time, but He does not live in time neither is He bound by time! Neither are you in essence young or old – truth is You are.

Young and old are phenomenological terms we use to describe our experience of time in this age and where we think we are on the progression toward physical death. Measured against God or the created universe, we are extremely new. But in reality, we exist in each brand new moment and each momentary experience is new. And everything we do is new.

Whatever you are doing, no matter how many times you have done something similar before, you are not doing the same old thing. You are doing something new, something that has never been done before and will never be done again.

WE ALWAYS EXIST IN THE NEW AND ALWAYS DO WHAT’S NEW.

God’s steadfast love and mercies for you are indeed new every morning. In fact, they are new with every new moment as He commits with a continually fresh resolve to keep His great faithfulness working for you.

We can only enjoy the gift of this new moment, whatever it brings, knowing that He Who is “making all things new” for you is working all things together for your eternal, ageless good.

Whatever you conform to, it becomes your reality – to the old or to the new?

Many have chosen to be conformed to their sickness, to poverty, to loneliness, fear, and doubts – to change or be transformed becomes very hard, for you, because to that which you conform to, becomes your reality.

Your reality is in the way you think, in what you have chosen to believe – and that happens when you choose to stay away from the Presence of God. The Christian life was never designed to be stagnant, to be in the same place without  growth, without increase. If you are tired of being poor and destitute, always being fearful, always angry, always stressed – you only need to come into the presence of God – He will make all things new!

But many have lived without the presence of God for so long that they don’t miss it anymore, even among many Christians. They come to church expecting nothing, and therefore , they get nothing.

If you are still the same person as when you first came to church…

if you still have the same problems…

If you still have the same bondage you had before…

It only means one thing:

The supernatural is not working in your life!

Q? How can I be transformed, or rather do you want to be transformed?

—

Every transformation begins in your mind!

Transformation has two words;

1st Trans=to be in transition;

2nd Formation=to be developed, to be created.

So Transformation means to be in transition of being created or developed to be formed into the image of Christ!

Transformation happens in the heart through a Supernatural encounter with God, but it begins in your mind, the renewing of the mind. Many have depended on religion for their transformation. Religion has trapped many people into thinking that life would change because they have religion, they are so wrong.

Religion cannot transform lives because it offers only replacements for the truth and the power of God. Change is painful, that’s why people don’t like it, the replacements for change makes the people conform. (buhat ng amba)

Only the presence of God can bring transformation, only the presence of God can assure us of change – by faith. As a Christian, we should walk by faith and not by sight; for when you walk by sight that means we are conformed to our environment and to the patterns of this world.

Rom 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will.

For the transformation to become permanent, we need to understand and discern our “thought cycles”. Every thought, either good or evil has a cycle, a beginning and an end, these cycles can either be renewed, canceled or terminated.

If you don’t stop the cycle, it will finish what it was called to do – if it is not terminated, you will repeat them again. A cycle can last from 1 day to 60 years, even longer unless something like death intervenes.  They just keep on going and going.

The thought patterns or mindset of a child is already formed at age 7, thoughts from the parents would have already been passed to them like being shy, mayabang, walang modo, kuripot, madamot, mahina, etc.

Unless terminated, such thought patterns are still there even when the child has become 60. And many wonder why they have stagnated for so long, it’s because the cycle remains unhindered.

If the mind is not renewed, we repeat the same situations and problems, maybe at a different place or with a different set of people, but the same problem. People go from one church to another and they encounter the same problem again and again; well it’s not the church who has a problem, neither is it the Pastor – it’s you!

Your thoughts can destroy your destiny, even take you out of the faith. Thoughts come by what you see and what you hear! In this era of the anti-Christ we see it on TV, magazines, music, clothing, etc. These thoughts will come in through the power of suggestion, the enemy will suggest things in your mind that seem cool and very pleasant and ‘in na in!’

A thought is an unspoken word, and it is activated when you speak it like, “wala na namang pera!

The enemy will use the media and other people to make the suggestion – “sale sa SM”, or ‘ang sexy nung babae!’

All these thoughts become a stronghold when you agree with it, when you speak it – he will use your tongue to confirm to him that you agree with him (he can’t read your mind)! He will send the suggestion when you are weak, or to the things where he knows you are weak.

You can agree or disagree with the enemy’s suggestion – you can meditate, cooperate, concentrate, even appreciate what he suggests. When demonic thoughts come, rebuke them immediately – don’t entertain them.

Heb 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. NKJV

When the evil thought comes, resist by confessing the Word – you need to be filled with the Word.

Many people are not in the church because of a thought – a thought comes that argue with what God wants you to do; an argument in you ensues;

All arguments are based on reason, and every reason is based on fallen knowledge; the knowledge that Adam wanted to get from the tree of good and evil.

Every reasoning is based on facts so it makes sense because they are based on facts – based on reality; “sa totoo lang no!”

BUT TRUTH IS A HIGHER REALITY!

Facts are always changing, but the truth never changes. If you are sick in your body or poor in your money, those may be facts and we don’t deny facts… but before the fact even came,  truth that says “by His lashes you are healed”; and “He came that you might have abundant life” has already been spoken!

Many people accept the facts, because you have no Word to argue with – the battle rages, facts vs truth and you need to speak the truth – the Word!

THE DEVIL HAS THE FACTS BUT GOD HAS THE TRUTH!

Ps 51:6

Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

Ps 86:11

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

Ps 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Prov 23:23

Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding.
